TRANSPARENT PRICING:
Davenport doesn't just give you a price on a vehicle and expect you to make a decision. They first want you to know where all the numbers are coming from. Their professional staff will take the time to print and show you what the dealership paid for any vehicle on the lot, what the overhead is, what if any money is coming back from the manufacturer, and then ask you to agree on a small percentage mark-up. Then they will show you the book values for your car, as well as what you could sell it for yourself and what they can offer for it. Finally, they'll show you several payment options for various terms with different down payments, including no money down. Then, and only then, will they ask you for your business!
COMMUNITY FOR LIFE:
When you buy from Davenport, you're also supporting the local community. Davenport contributes a portion of each car sale to several organizations through a program called "Community for Life." These organizations provide grants and support dollars to help support local non-profits, improve the quality of life, and recruit new business and industry to the area. Contributions have amounted to more than $55,000 over the past five years. The dealership also supports education by awarding a scholarship to a deserving Nash Community College student each year, and by providing a car for a year to the Nash ROCKY MOUNT Public Schools Teacher of the Year. Davenport also provides a car to a lucky United Way contributor as an incentive for more people to support the community each year.

LONGEVITY
Davenport has been in business since 1929. Currently on its fourth generation, the dealership is operated by the late founder David Davenport's Son-in-Law - Joe Nelson, Grandson - Neill Nelson, and Great-Grandson - Graham Nelson.
